What happened to the ballots for more than 11,000,000 voters in the United States?

I woke up this morning thinking of a theory that might explain how this election may have been rigged to favor Donald Trump. Could the culprit have been Louis DeJoy, who was appointed the 75th U.S. postmaster general by the Board of Governors (the majority loyal to Trump or the Republican Party) of the US Postal Service in May 2020.

“The Trump donor whom Biden can’t fire is running the U.S. Postal Service directly into the ground—just what everyone warned about when he was confirmed during the pandemic”

https://fortune.com/2024/04/10/usps-dejoy-price-hikes-customer-dissatisfaction/

“Here’s why the Postal Service wanted to remove hundreds of mail-sorting machines

USPS officials and industry insiders say sorters are taken offline every year, though the 671 earmarked represent a substantially larger share of the agency’s inventory.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/08/20/postal-service-mail-sorters-removals/

“As it happened, the count was coming along very nicely. DeJoy may be best known as the Trump-era GOP megadonor the left accused of meddling with mail-in voting to subvert the 2020 election.”

This morning’s aha moment lit up soon after I woke up because of something that happened to me a few weeks before the election. Our brains are more active when we sleep. We can also program our minds as we fall asleep to focus on specific topics/issues to solve or come up with possible solutions. And since November 5th, my mind has been spinning about the results of the election. Asleep and awake.

Because the results do not make sense.

Now, the back story.  All the details that came together while I was sleeping last night that were ready for me when I woke up this morning.

I’ve had a supplement/nutrition company in Utah (USANA) mail me my nutrition tables every month since 1997.  Twenty-seven years without one monthly delivery going missing or arriving late.

Twenty-Seven Years!

Until a few weeks before the election when one delivery didn’t arrive. I called USANA’s customer service number and talked to a human in short order who tracked the package from Utah to Seattle and from there to me.  She said that was unusual. Every other delivery came direct from Utah to California where I live. In 1997, I lived in Southern California. In 2005, I retired from teaching and moved to the Bay Area near San Francisco. The USANA packages kept coming.

After that first of its kind delivery that went to the wrong city and state, a few weeks ago, I was suspicious that Trump’s DeJoy was somehow responsible.  I mean, he wouldn’t do the grunt work, but he could appoint fanatical Trump MAGA loyalists to positions who would. Many have gone to prison already for crimes supporting the malignant narcissist, sociopath, lifelong cheater and serial liar, convicted rapist, fraud and felon Donald Trump.

I thought, maybe that misdirected package from USANA was a test run to see if the alleged scheme to redirect mail automatically by using information on the bar code, to a central location where they could be collected and vanish.

This morning, I checked what kind of information those mailing bar codes have. Both the USPS bar codes and bar codes on mail in ballots do not have our names or party affiliation on them.

Still, they have a zip code. There are 14 zip codes for Contra Costa County in California where I live. If some or all of those 14 zip codes were targeted for redirecting, let’s say, 10% of all mail in ballots, and Democrats mail more ballots than Republicans, Trump doesn’t lose as many votes as Kamla Harris would.

I’ve never voted for Trump or a Republican since the early 1980s. So, I didn’t mail my ballot this year. I went out of my way an d drove to a secure drop box located in front of a police station in a town farther than the closest USPS station to where I live.

I also mailed my ballot the first day we were allowed to mail them to avoid what did happen in some locations across the country. Someone setting fire to ballot drop boxes, or stealing them, in areas where the majority of voters vote for Democrats.

Now, let’s look at voter turnout for General Elections starting with 2016.

In 2016, 128,838,342 citizens voted. With almost 63-million votes, Trump won the Electoral College but lost the popular vote, while Hillary Clinton ended with almost 66-million votes but lost the Electoral College. This election made history, because that was the largest popular vote loss for an Electoral College winner.

The midterms in 2018 also broke records. Pew Research reported, “Historic highs in 2018 voter turnout extended across racial and ethnic groups.”

In 2020, voting records were broken again. 158,429,631 ballots were cast and counted.  Biden had almost 8,000,000 more votes than Donald Trump, and Biden won both the popular vote and Electoral College.

PEW Research reports, “The elections of 2018, 2020 and 2022 were three of the highest-turnout U.S. elections of their respective types in decades. About two-thirds (66%) of the voting-eligible population turned out for the 2020 presidential election – the highest rate for any national election since 1900. The 2018 election (49% turnout) had the highest rate for a midterm since 1914. Even the 2022 election’s turnout, with a slightly lower rate of 46%, exceeded that of all midterm elections since 1970.”

2024, did not continue that trend

According to the BBC, there are no more votes to count for 2024. Here’s the final results:

Donald Trump ended with 50.4% and 74,715,866 votes. Kamala Harris finished with 47.9% and 70,994,850 votes.

The total number of votes cast was 147,356,290.

More than 11-million votes less than 2020.
What happened to that many voters and their votes?

Now, let’s look at the General Election voter turnout in the county where I live, for 2016, 2020, and 2024. This is a BLUE county that Donald Trump will never win. Unless he cheats.

2016 General Election
Contra Costa County, California

H. Clinton 68.9% with 286,658 votes

D. Trump 25.4% with 105,819 votes
2020 General Election
Contra Costa County, California

J. Biden 71.6% with 416,386 votes

D. Trump 25.4% with 152,877 votes
2024 General Election
Contra Costa County, California

K. Harris 67.1 with 232,315 votes

D. Trump 30.1% with 104,349 votes

Comparing the three General Election for 2016, 2020 and 2024, I’m thinking, why did the total vote count drop in 2024, lower than 2016, after that massive increase in 2020?

Next, comparing three precincts similar to Contra Costa County in California to three battle ground states covering the same three election in 2016, 2020 and 2024. I do not see the same dramatic drop that took place in the district where I live.

Allegheny, Pennyslvania Dane, WisconsinWashtenaw, Michigan
2016

H Clinton 56.4% with 363,017 votes

D Trump 40% with 257,488 votes

2020

J Biden 59.6% with 429,065 votes

D Trump 39.2% with 282,324 votes

2024

K Harris 59.5% with 420,558 votes

D Trump 39.6% with 279,891 votes
2016

H Clinton 71.4% with 217,506 votes

D Trump 23.4% with 71,170 votes

2020

J Biden 75.5% with 206,121 votes

D Trump 22.8% with 78,794 votes

2024

K Harris 74.9% with 273,954 votes

D Trump 23.4% with 85,449 votes
2016

H Clinton 68.3% with 128,483 votes

D Trump 26.9% with 50,631 votes

2020

J Biden 72.6% with 157,136 votes

D Trump 26.0% with 56,241 votes

2024

K Harris 71% with 156,964 votes

D Trump 26.6% with 58,798 votes

The total number of votes cast across the United States in 2014 was 147,356,290.  Less than 2020 by more than 11-million votes. According to the districts I covered in this post, most voters who voted against Trump in 2020, were still motivated to turn out and vote against him in 2024.

Where did the other 11,000,000 voters go?
—the ones who vanished—
What happened to their votes?

Is my theory a clue to solving this mystery, and if so, were other districts also targeted? Maybe this theory explains why the district I live in lost so many votes compared to 2020 and 2016.

I’m just one person and it took several hours to put this together.

Maybe someone with more time and resources might want to create a chart that covers all 435 voting districts in the U.S. to discover if there is a pattern that matches what happened in Contra Coast County’s district in California, comparing 2016, 2020 and 2024, to learn what happened to more than 11,000,000 voters and their votes.

Did that many voters really decide to stay home and not vote?

I didn’t see that trend in the three districts I covered in three battle ground states.

The following news reports also do not support that many voters deciding to stay home.

“WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today Vote.org, the largest nonpartisan voter registration and get-out-the-vote platform in America, announced that it has registered more than one million voters during the 2024 election cycle – including a record-breaking percentage of younger voters under 35 compared to the 2020 election cycle.” — September 4, 2024

“This year’s turnout drops were most dramatic in Texas’ big blue counties including Harris, Bexar and Dallas, where Democrats on the ballot — including Vice President Kamala Harris and U.S. House Rep. Colin Allred — expected to win comfortably. Harris underperformed in those counties, surpassing Trump in Harris County by a modest 5 points, a steep drop from 2020, when President Joe Biden outperformed Trump by 13 points. Allred fared slightly better, but not well enough to stave off the higher Republican turnout in fast-growing red counties including Montgomery and Collin.” — Texas Tribune

NBC News reported, “More than 337,000 people visit Taylor Swift’s link to register to vote

The custom URL directed people to vote.gov, a website that helps visitors register to vote in their states.”

Well, I’m thinking I don’t want to go down the path of election interference by the post office or conspiracy theories related to that. What I’m looking at is the pundit class and statistics geeks of mainstream media giving us a lot of false hope. When analysis is done in a big fat bubble, a whole lot of clues could be missed and questions not asked. For instance, do celebrity endorsements really mean a heck of a lot anymore? Also we need to look at the working class’s turn to the right. Is it just misogyny and racism or is there more to it? Signs are indicating there is more to it than misogyny, racism, Christian Nationalism, cult behavior, etc. Some early overviews are saying that Gen Z tilted Republican because of feeling not heard. There may be something to that, given the protests against Israel (although I am very displeased at the anti-Semitic rhetoric that some are now engaged in online.) The backlash agains DEI is also coming from “The Kids” as young white men dont’ feel responsible for any of the actions that DEI is meant to change. Granted they do not see the larger picture and what generations before them have and have not done. I would also say, from my anecdotal perspective, that young people often vote the way their parents vote. If their parents are hopping mad at X issue, and are voting Republican, so might the first time and second time voters. Keep in mind, Gen Z is not like the Boomers. Gen Z and the Millennials, some of whom are their parents, are the participation trophy generations, the helicoper parented generations. Their views have been shaped by a sense and need to belong vs a desire to think independently. IMO, they are more Sheeple than either the Boomers or Gen X because of so much familial oversight. (another anecdote: the first time I ever heard of parents going with their adult kid on an interview was about a Millennial seeking their first job. Would Gen X or Boomers have parents with them?? oh heck no! But I think it’s the lack of parenting in Gen X that has created overweening parents out of Gen X)
IMO, there’s just too many variable to think that votes went missing through malfeasance. They went missing more out of disinterest.

As fast as Trump is moving to implement Project 2025, became a dictator, and crack down on any resistance, using Putin’s tactics to permanently eliminate anyone in his way, those who survive the mass purges to come, will never know what happened. I don’t expect to reach my next birthday at this pace.

I also think Trump will become the first trillionaire after he milks the US dry and blackmails the world to pay him protection to avoid being nuked

It’s too late for me, but if you want to survive, learn from Bejamin in Animal Farm.

Depressing food for thought. If you couple this form of possible vote rigging with the possibility of voting machines being hacked, you can’t help starting smell a fish, a big fat one. 😦

We [those of us who fact checks and reads more than Trumps’ favorite propaganda media, that includes FOX NEWS] already know the stench is from the political faction Trump made an alliance with. They call themselves Christian nationalists. Before that name, they were known as the Ku Klux Klan and/or Hitler’s Nazi Party. The majority of Trump’s fanatical fascist MAGA cult are from that sector of the US population. From what I’ve learned, they may make up about 24% of the total. Still, they are now poised to take over the country. And getting there didn’t happen overnight. It took decades to stack the US Supreme Court and program the racists who make up most of Trump’s support base.

We who read and fact check, know the names of the billionaires behind the movement, and all of the corrupt and ruthless leaders of Trump’s MAGA movement. If they pull off Project 2025, maybe as many as 60 million (I have read) of the US population will be killed off to purify and pacify the rest. I know that I will not be one of the survivors.

I have already suggested to my daughter and her husband Marcus to start putting a backup plan in place to flee the United States if it comes to that. To do the homework now and plan ahead how they are going to do it, to find another country where they may relocate. I think the options would be in the EU somewhere or China. I suggested they check out Portugal. We talked on the phone this morning about it. I told them I’m staying to fight and die. I’m too old to leave.

      1. acflory Avatar

Oh Lloyd, I couldn’t like this. I wouldn’t send them to the EU, if Putin is pushed back he could do as he’s threatened in the past and unleash nuclear weapons. Frankly either Australia or China seem like a safer bet at the moment.
If I were a believer, I’d pray that things don’t turn out the way they’re headed. But I’m not a believer so I just hope like crazy that we are all wrong, wrong, wrong… 😦

My bet is that they’ll end up in Shanghai, China if it comes down to that. Lauryann grew up spending time every year with her grandparents in Shanghai. Both her and her mother still have friends and family there. Even though she was born in Chicago, she speaks the language without an accent. Her children and husband are learning Mandarin, and Anchee, my former wife, grew up in China during Mao’s Cultural Revolution and didn’t leave until the 1980s. China is like a second home to Anchee and Lauryann.

And if I decided to leave, I’d pick China as my first choice too. I don’t speak Mandarin, but I know the country, it’s people and its culture. Anchee used to tell me I knew more about China than most Chinese. That is if they’d let me in and then let me stay as a refugee from the US, who would be seeking asylum from Trumpism.

Trump has displayed a contempt for the law all of his life, probably starting at age 3. No one knows that better than his victims, extended family and most of the residents of New York City. Trump is infamous in NYC, because he brags and doesn’t hide who he is. When confronted, he lies. He even lies about what he’s said in public. Something like, “I never said that.” or “I never did that.” et al.

What the world has witnessed since 1916, reflects who he has always been for decades even when he was still in school. Paying someone to take a test for him. Lying about bone spurs to avoid being drafted and sent to Vietnam. Raping and molesting women (dozens have come forward with horrid stories – even beauty contestants when Trump owned the Ms. America beauty pageant, and he’d barge into the dressing room as the beauties were getting ready and were mostly naked. Trump denies every accusation and calls each one a liar. Then he insults the accusers them and attacks them verbally. He also insults reporters who ask him questions about those incidents … for asking.

His cheating – every kind of cheating you can think of going back decades.
His lies. He didn’t start lying in 2016. He has always been a liar.

My PTSD therapist through the VA grew up in New York City and she hates him. Donald Trump grew up in New York City too and most of the residents of that city know about his infamous exploits. In 2016, 2020 and 2024, Trump lost his home city by a huge margin.

Overall, in New York City, Biden received 2,321,759 votes, 76%, to Trump’s 691,682 votes, or 23%; a margin of 1,630,077. In 2016, Hillary Clinton 79% won of the vote to Trump’s 18%.

In 2024, New York City vote totals by candidate
        Harris: 1,748,140 votes, 67.70%
        Trump: 786,294 votes, 30.45%

It’s been hard to accept that such a public figure could be such a bastard…and get away with it! That’s the thing that makes me gag. Yet somehow – money talks? – he has.
I wish the rest of the US were as cosmopolitan and savvy as the people in NYC. But wishing don’t make it so. 😦

The news isn’t good here. It gets worse by the day. Trump is appointing people who are loyal to him to take over the federal government agencies. He’s putting a FOX News host in charge of the Department of Defense. Musk and Ramaswamy’s job will be to redesign and streamline the Federal government.

He’s making no attempt to hide what they are doing. They will gut the federal government, closing agencies, firing people by the tens of thousands, turning the US into a middle-age fiefdom with him the king. When Trump’s done, the government that exists today won’t exist anymore.

I think the only option will be for the states controlled by Democrats to leave the union before Trump is sworn in on January 20, 2021, and pget ready for a bloody civil war. If they try to use the courts, it isn’t going to work. Trump has nothing but contempt for the law and the legal system. He sees himself becoming the law who will decide everyone’s fate.

Trump Names Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to Redesign the Federal Government; and a FOX News Host to Lead Dept of Defense

Trump may not wait for january 20, 2025. He may decide to grab power any day.

      7. acflory Avatar

MAGA and tRump really are an abusive relationship. If Musk does what he says, it won’t be the billionaires worried about where their next pay check will come from. It’ll be the people at the bottom of the pyramid. I wonder how many of them will be shocked to learn that yes, they are going to get abused too. 😦

      8. Lloyd Lofthouse Avatar

What’s bothering me is how meekly the elected Democrats at the federal level are all slinking away into the night. The way they are reacting is: “Look at me. I play by the rules. I’m a good loser. I’m not going to react like Trump did when he lost. I’m going to show the world I’m an honorable person.”

        BS!

Never mind that the convicted rapist, fraud and felon is going to throw out the federal government, get rid of the constitution and destroy the country. The losers, who were cheated, want to walk away with their paper thin dignity intact.

Trump won this election by lying repeatedly, threatening everyone who wasn’t with him, and cheating at every turn.

The only elected Democrat who sounds like he’s going to fight, to at least save California from Trump, is our Governor Gavin Newsom. I hope he succeeds.

      9. acflory Avatar

To an outsider like me, it feels like Al Gore all over again. I hope your Governor Newsom continues to fight back, but I fear he can’t do all that much on his own. 😦

    1. Lloyd Lofthouse Avatar

      Who is the Michigan researcher?

My theory is that to win the popular vote, the USPS scheme focused on some districts in blue states like California and New York like the district I live in to reduce the number of votes Harris won by. I noticed that this year, the vote for the Democrat (Harris) in California ended up about 3 – 4 million votes less than 2020. Trump would have lost some votes too, but that doesn’t hurt him from winning the Electoral College because he was going to lose the BLUE WALL states anyway. Winning a BLUE WALL state would set off alarms. So, that stage of the plot was to only siphon votes away from Harris total count for the country.

Still the malignant narcist, sociopath egomaniac wanted to win all the battle ground states and the popular vote so he could use that mandate to achieve all of his goal to become a dictator for life by implementing Project 2025.

For the Battle Ground states, for my theory to hold water, the focus would be on enough solid red districts that Trump would have won by large margins anyway and focus on reducing the number of Democrats who voted enough to swing the slim margin to his favor in every one of those states. Maybe the skimmed a smaller percentage of Democrats from all of the solid red districts to achieve that goal instead of a limited number.
