Crazy Normal is a Blog about education, teaching, parenting and coming of age based on the author’s thirty years as a classroom teacher and as a parent of two. Since Lloyd is human and not perfect, he made mistakes along the way but also did some things right. After all, we live life and learn from our mistakes–hopefully.
The Soulful Veteran is about young men going to war and coming back damaged. War also damages non-combatants such as mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, lovers, friends and neighbors. It’s also about PTSD and Lloyd’s experiences in Vietnam in 1966. Few are spared the mental and/or physical anguish and suffering caused by war.
