Wouldn’t it be great if they could? 😀

After what I read after sharing that story, I think we should add to the list: Everyone that belongs to or contributes to The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, that spells in gruesome, treasonous detail the plan for Traitor Trump’s presidency if that orange toddler is elected a 2nd time. The news broke a few days ago after the president of the Heritage Foundation said this because they already control the US Supreme Court: and do not think they can be stopped.

“We are in the process of the second American revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be,” Mr Roberts told the War Room podcast, founded by Trump adviser Steve Bannon.

Project 2025 was on Traitor Trump’s Truth Social. Now that he’s lying through his teeth, AGAIN, that may not longer be there. Since Keven Roberts said that quote a few days ago, the traitor is claiming he doesn’t even know what it was.

It’s been a few days since I listened to John Oliver about Trump’s Second Term, but I think I heard Oliver say that Project 2025 was published in full on Trump’s site.

Ugh…some of those policy proposals sound as if they’ve come straight from some religious fundamentalist playbook. 😦

Biden said in one of his many intelligent conversations with reporters before and after that one debate, that what’s happening in the United States with MAGA isn’t unique. He said it’s happening around the world as democracies are threatened by the rise of far-right extremism. When democracies fall, who benefits the most? Putin.

      3. acflory Avatar

It is truly scary to think of even more power in the hands of that man. It’s as if the whole MAGA movement is pushing the self destruct button as hard as they can.

Traitor Trump and MAGA have been infected by the Insanity Virus.

This is amazing, Lloyd. thank you! I’ve been fascinated by the role of viruses and bacteria in all manner of human diseases since Heliobacter was shown to cause stomach ulcers. That was something poo poo-ed by the medical establishment as it was thought these pathogens couldn’t survive in stomach acid. Hah!

The ‘Shared Psychosis’ of Donald Trump and His Loyalists

“What attracts people to Trump? What is their animus or driving force?”

“The reasons are multiple and varied, but in my recent public-service book, Profile of a Nation, I have outlined two major emotional drives: narcissistic symbiosis and shared psychosis. Narcissistic symbiosis refers to the developmental wounds that make the leader-follower relationship magnetically attractive. The leader, hungry for adulation to compensate for an inner lack of self-worth, projects grandiose omnipotence—while the followers, rendered needy by societal stress or developmental injury, yearn for a parental figure. When such wounded individuals are given positions of power, they arouse similar pathology in the population that creates a “lock and key” relationship.

“Shared psychosis”—which is also called “folie à millions” [“madness for millions”] when occurring at the national level or “induced delusions”—refers to the infectiousness of severe symptoms that goes beyond ordinary group psychology.

When a highly symptomatic individual is placed in an influential position, the person’s symptoms can spread through the population through emotional bonds, heightening existing pathologies and inducing delusions, paranoia and propensity for violence—even in previously healthy individuals. The treatment is removal of exposure.”

From what little I’ve read about Trump’s father, I can well imagine the child being emotionally stunted. As for the mass psychosis, I guess if taken to an extreme, it become the brutal violence of a mob. I wish the world could cauterize itself of all of these petty dictators. 😦

When has the world ever worked together to solve a problem unless they have already been invaded by someone like Hitler, Stalin or Putin and are begging for help? Even the effort to combat climate change doesn’t have the world working together efficiently or cooperatively. Some countries try harder than others and some do nothing.

      9. acflory Avatar

Yes, we humans only seem to truly co-operate when our survival is on the line, and not enough people believe that climate change could kill us all to care. We’re also very short term thinkers. 😦

      10. Lloyd Lofthouse Avatar

Some try. Some don’t. Not enough. Who carries the most guilt but doesn’t care?. The wealthiest most powerful 10% produce more pollution than anyone.

“The wealthiest 10% were responsible for 50% of global emissions, it found, while the bottom 50% were responsible for just 8%. Within the top 1%, the report links one-third of the carbon emissions to personal consumption in the U.S., followed by China and the Gulf countries.”

To be balanced, what lifestyle has the lowest carbon footprint?

“A vegan diet has the lowest carbon footprint, at 1.5 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). A vegetarian diet is also better than a meat-based diet, and cutting down on red meat can reduce your food’s carbon footprint by a quarter. Other low-carbon protein options include peas, pulses, and nuts.”

I’m a vegan. I have solar, a backup battery, and drive a plug in hybrid about 2,000 miles annually. I drove more miles before the pandemic. Lockdown taught me I could shop online instead of brick and mortar stores driving all over the place and not eat out as much, and enjoy not doing those things.

      11. acflory Avatar

-sigh- the trouble is, most individuals /aspire/ to the lifestyle of the rich and famous 1%. You don’t, and I don’t, but we are in a minority.
The Offspring and I are not vegan or vegetarian, but we eat foods from both camps – home cooked – eat beef maybe once a year – due to the cost – and don’t drive much as we’re still in protective self isolation – thanks Covid.
All good except…I don’t think we could survive the isolation without the internet, and the computers that link to it. But how much carbon pollution does the internet generate? Or the industries that make the components for the computers that link to it? Or the ships that lay the undersea cables that make it possible?
One thing is for sure, the constant rollover of goods just because they’re a couple of years old, or because the manufacturer brings out a new, whiz bang model, or because the manufacturer deliberately makes the ‘thing’ obsolete…these things strike me as being wrong, almost in a moral sense.
We have to return to an era in which ‘things’ were built to last. In a word, an era of quality, but I don’t think anything short of total annihilation will make the multinational corporations go back to such an era. And until they do, we won’t. Vicious circle.:(

      12. Lloyd Lofthouse Avatar

A vicious cycle driven by the greedy and enough is never enough “FOR THEM”.

      13. acflory Avatar

Yes. The never-ending cycle of profit for profit sake is destroying the very idea of democracy.
